Residents and Visitors to Dubai can now get visas and entry permits by SMS or e-mail. Under the mobile visa scheme (M-Visa), travellers applying for visas online will be asked to pay an additional fee for the service. They will then receive an SMS notification containing a barcode on the visa and information about the visitor and sponsor. When a visitor arrives a barcode scanner will read the details directly from the mobile.
