Police mobilise their manhunt

A Terrorist who escaped a detention centre last week in Singapore has sparked an unprecedented nationwide manhunt, with more than 1,000 police, soldiers, and elite Nepalese Gurkhas mobilised. The police then took an interesting initiative when it came to fully mobilising their man hunt. In addition to more than 54,000 posters and leaflets with the fugitive’s pictures and description placed at train and bus stations, shopping malls, housing estates, the three mobile phone operators SingTel, StarHub and MI – are also sending out MMS messages with pictures of the fugitive to 3.9 million subscribers.
