Mediaburst product: API

SMS quotes sent to sales agents

That’s why financial software provider Castlefields decided to launch a server-based, two-way mobile messaging service enabling financial institutions to deliver instant and accurate loan calculations for mortgages, hire purchase or leasing agreements directly to the handsets of field agents.

Castlefields’ pioneering system comprises a calculation engine that sits on a Microsoft.Net server using ASP.Net. Incoming text messages take the form of “Plancode_CashPrice_ Deposit.” The ASP.Net application interprets the message and replies with a text message containing all the figures required for new loan agreements to be completed in the field.

Selecting Mediaburst’s two-way text services for the service was a simple decision for Castlefields. Like other businesses that depend upon Mediaburst, the software provider knows only too well that the quality of its suppliers is essential to the health of its business.

“When your reputation is on the line, it is critical you choose a supplier you trust. You need to be certain it will deliver a robust, reliable and predictable service every time. Mediaburst’s messaging systems and security have been audited and rigorously tested by both O2 and a leading financial institution and are second to none,” says Ken Holt, Executive Director, Castlefields.

Thanks to Castlefields initiative and Mediaburst’s compelling service, increasing numbers of lenders are driving down the cost of their field based operations and making significant gains in agents’ productivity in the process. One business, Everest Financial, estimates that the service shaved £18,000 off the cost of its field operations in the first year alone.

Harnessing the power of mobile messaging to eliminate the cost and risk associated with completing documentation in the field, the financial services industry is now more focussed on making every second count.
