How do you use SMS?
As a 24 hour a day telephone answering service we’re constantly taking, and acting on, calls for our clients. Once we’ve taken the call we need to get the message out to the client in the fastest way possible, and that’s SMS.
We also use inbound SMS so that our clients can update their status at any time, from wherever they are. For example, they could tell us, “ status, 2hrs unav. In meeting. “ This instantly updates our system and automatically changes their call instructions.
It works in much the same way as @MessageBot from twitter which we also use but via SMS, obviously.
How does this work for your clients?
Our clients can get notification of a call and all the details within about 5 seconds of the caller hanging up. This ensures that they can then either call back from wherever they may be or save it for later. In fact, a lot of our clients use their SMS inbox as a highly efficient, constantly updated “to-do list “.
