Mediaburst Visit The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital
On Tuesday 20th December, Mediaburst visited the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity to donate £800 and £200’s worth of toys.
Instead of sending presents to our customers at Christmas, we try to help the charity to continue their amazing work in any way we can.
Sarah Crammond, Ellie Tattersall and Lucy Styles played Santa’s elves and took bags of new, exciting toys down to the hospital to be given out to children on Christmas Day.
Ellie, our Business Development Manager said, “It’s always great to see how the charity are helping to bring such amazing initiatives and improvements to the hospital”.
The charity started a Helipad Appeal in September 2015, hoping to raise £3.9 million by 2017 to build a brand new 24 hour access primary helicopter landing site. Amazingly, the charity managed to raise this money in a much shorter time than expected and are looking at the project to be completed by Christmas 2017.
The hospital tries to discharge most children over Christmas to be with their families but sadly some children are too poorly to be discharged over this time. Hopefully the toys we’ve donated can help the charity make the holidays a bit of a brighter time for the children and their families.
